Women’s March Florida is proud to align with The Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (FRRC) to raise awareness and funds for the upcoming event, “The Convening” hosted on July 20-22 in Orlando, Florida.  

The Convening is a training and collaborative planning event to engage grassroots activists in a ballot initiative campaign to restore the basic civil rights of citizens formerly convicted of a felony. Florida is one of only three states that strip all individuals with past felony convictions of their civil rights, including their fundamental right to vote, even after completion of their sentences. FRRC’s goal is to restore the civil rights of citizens with a past felony conviction by placing a constitutional amendment on the 2018 Florida ballot.

Women’s March Florida is raising funds to sponsor women who have lost their right to vote due to a prior felony conviction, and wish to attend The Convening.  The Convening is open to anyone who wants to work toward creating a more inclusive democracy.  Register here.
