City Clerk Cheri Smith this afternoon swore in those reelected city officials who won the election in the August primary.

City Commissioners Jimmy Weekley, Billy Wardlow and Clayton Lopez were reelected as was Utility Board incumbent Peter Batty. Commission Lopez was unable to attend today’s ceremony, and will be sworn in this afternoon. An official public ceremony will occur on November 21st after the election. This early oath was necessary for them to perform their duties in the interim.
