Tonight, November 7, 2018, was Key West Mayor Cates’ final night on the dais.  Cates is a 4th generation Key West resident and has been the mayor of Key West since 2009.  The Mayor’s executive assistant, Lissette Cuervo Carey, and fellow commission members thanked him for his years of dedicated service and shared some laughs while reminiscing during the closing moments of this evening’s city commission meeting.
