Mayor Commends Poinciana Art Teacher
Mayor Craig Cates last week commended Poinciana Elementary School art teacher Elizabeth Liz for her dedication and service to the children of Key West.
Her student, Amiah Marston, participated in the City of Key West Recycled Robot Art Contest in November and was one of the winners. Ms. Liz’s dedication inspired Marston and her classmates to take part if the afterschool project.
Ms. Liz’s continued support in her classroom motivates her students to be involved and participate in important lessons about our limited resources and ways to transform used recyclables into art.
“The extraordinary commitment to excellence,” reads the commendation, “and all the extra time and support she provides is an example of her positive impact on the attitude and productivity of all the children she teaches.”
