New Permanent Exhibit – Tennessee Williams: The Playwright & the Painter

KWAHS is pleased to announce the opening of our newest permanent gallery dedicated to the paintings of long-time Key West resident, Tennessee Williams. On permanent loan through the generosity of David Wolkowsky, the exhibit contains 15 paintings completed by Williams that delve into a variety of subject matters.

Plein Air Painting Contest

On Saturday, March 19, artists are invited to do a painting of the Waterfront Playhouse, located at 310 Wall St. in Mallory Square. The painting subject was chosen because of the outstanding support given through the years to the Waterfront Playhouse by Tennessee Williams. Dr. Cori Convertito, KWAHS Curator, will coordinate the Artists’ Challenge and will join three other qualified arts community leaders in serving as judges.

Visit the Tennessee Williams Key West Exhibit website for more details.
