The Board of Directors of FIRM thanks the Island of Key Largo Federation of Homeowner Associations, Inc. (the Federation) for its generous donation in the amount of $1,000.00. In April, FIRM President Mel Montagne addressed the Federation at a meeting in the Key Largo Library. “FIRM especially appreciates the support of homeowners associations, because they demonstrate the community spirit behind our mission,” explained Montagne. “At FIRM we believe that the strong sense of community in Monroe County and the commitment to our common goals are crucial and will continue
to make our efforts successful.”

FIRM is a grassroots organization formed in 2006 to fight for fair property insurance rates for property owners and residents of Monroe County, Florida (Florida Keys). Through advocacy and community outreach, FIRM contributes to housing affordability and helps residents remain and prosper in our community. With donations like this from the Federation, private donations, and other businesses FIRM is able to continue our fight for fair insurance rates for everyone in the Florida Keys.
