CERTAIN CANDIDATES ON THE NOVEMBER 8, GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT

Hometown’s Second and Final Question and Answer Forum for candidates on the November 8, General Election Ballot is approximately three weeks before the Election. Key West and Monroe County voters will have to make judgments regarding Monroe County State Attorney. State Representative, U.S. Representative, Utility Board, Group 3, Mosquito Control Board, District 3 and the Referendum questions submitted to the voter regarding effectiveness trials in Key Haven/Monroe county.

THIS WILL BE HOMETOWN’S FINAL EVENT OF THE 2016 POLITICAL SEASON AND IT’S A MUST-SEE POLITICAL EVENT!

The panelists for the October 17, Forum will be Larry Kahn, Editor, the Keynoter,; Naja Girard of Key West The Newspaper (The Blue Paper-https://thebluepaper.com/ ; Kay Harris, Editor, Key West Citizen newspaper; and Nancy Klingener, Florida Keys reporter for WLRN–South Florida’s public radio station.

Doors open at the TSKW at 5:00 p.m. Voters will have 30 minutes to have some free hors d’oeuvres, frequent the cash bar, and meet and talk to the candidates.

The candidates and races featured at this forum are listed below: Please note that this is not the order in which the candidates will be called to the stage. Hometown will not announce the candidates’ order of being called to the stage until that night–changes in candidates’ schedules, and other matters require that flexibility in scheduling. All candidates should be at TSKW at 5:30 pm, ready to go. Everything begins at 5:30PM as the candidates make a last-ditch effort to enlist the support of voter sin the November 8 General Election–Don’t miss it—and take a friend!

Hometown’s objective is to encourage qualified residents to run for elected office, to provide a platform for the candidates to explain their goals, and to encourage higher levels of voter participation in the election.
