Fundraiser Friday for the Sheriff’s Animal Farm
There will be a special fundraiser Friday night to raise money for the Sheriff’s Office Animal Farm.
The fundraiser, sponsored by Sunset Rotary of Key West, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Bottlecap Lounge, 1128 Simonton Street. The event will feature loal Celebrity Bartender Dr. Doug Mader, who is co-owner of the Marathon Veterinary Hospital and who provides medical services for all the animals at the farm. There will also be a special appearance by the famous Animal Farm team, Farmer Jeanne Selander and Mo the Sloth.
Come on out and support the farm. Pet a Sloth and have fun participating in the 50/50 drawing and silent auction, and partake of free appetizers.
The Sheriff’s Office Animal Farm is supported by your donations – all donations go to benefit the animals on the farm. The farm is located underneath the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, on College Road, Stock Island. It is open to the public second and fourth Sundays from 1 – 3 p.m. and is free of charge.
