Deputy Josh Gordon was selected by Sheriff Rick Ramsay to be honored at the Marlins Heroes event Monday night in Miami. He and his family were treated by the Marlins baseball team to VIP seats and parking and Josh was recognized during the game.

Deputy Gordon was shot on duty last October attempting to apprehend a robbery suspect on Stock Island. He was saved from serious injury by his bullet proof vest.
