Coast Guard, Turtle Hospital Crews Release 150-Pound Loggerhead Sea Turtle Near Key West

The Coast Guard and Turtle Hospital personnel released a rehabilitated 150-pound Loggerhead Sea Turtle to the wild off Sunset Key near Key West, Thursday morning.

A Coast Guard Station Key West 45-foot Response Boat—Medium boatcrew and personnel from the Turtle Hospital released Drifter, a Loggerhead Sea Turtle, back to the wild.

Drifter was rescued from fishing line that was part of storm debris from Hurricane Irma and rehabilitated at the Turtle Hospital in Key West.
