18th Annual Tour American Cancer Society Relay For Life Kayaking Team

Cancer affects all of us in one way or another. You may have a family member who has battled the disease or a friend or a co-worker. Cancer can not only do physical damage to the body, but can leave permanent scars on its victims and their loved ones. These are the people for whom we paddle.

The mission of the Castaways Against Cancer is two-fold. The goal is to not only find a cure for cancer by raising thousands of dollars each year for the American Cancer Society, but to honor those who have fought the good fight.

It’s that simple. We kayak, you donate and we all pray for a cure.

This is their 18th annual tour, paddling 22-25 mi. a day from Biscayne to Key West. The team is comprised of folks from all over the country, including one in the Keys. They launch this Sat., the 10th and will arrive on Smathers Beach across from the Sheraton on Fri. June 16th at 2 PM.
