The 2017 Hurricane Season has begun and the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County is inviting residents to learn more about how to prepare for a hurricane by signing up for a free internet-based BRACE for the Storm Workshop scheduled for August 24.  This workshop is designed to provide information to homeowners on disaster preparedness techniques that may reduce damage to their homes from hurricanes and other disasters that threaten Floridians.  In addition, homeowners will learn how to save money on the windstorm portion of their homeowner’s insurance premium.  To register, visit:
