Annual Swim Around Key West Donates $4,000 to Key West High School Cross Country Team
The 40th Annual Swim Around Key West recently donated $4,000 to the Key West High School Cross Country Team. More than 170 swimmers participated in the 12.5-mile event on June 4, 2016. A portion of their entry fees supports the donation to the Key West student runners.
The historic, round-the-island event is the longest-running sporting event in the Florida Keys, founded in 1977. The 41st Annual Swim Around Key West will be held on June 28, 2017, with a start and finish at Smathers Beach.
