Larry Baeder Joins The Greens for Sister Season Fund-raiser

Backspace Friday June 12th

The Sister Season Fund helps wait staff, cab drivers, cooks, bar tenders and other locals employed in the tourist-related industries. Most hard-working individuals, who represent the infrastructure of Key West’s tourism, do not receive employee benefits and suffer tremendously when emergencies strike. The Sister Season Fund is here to help.

Backspace, the newly renovated writers’ haven, restaurant and bar at 320 Grinnell Street, (formerly Finnegan’s Wake), is sponsoring A Night with The Greens: A night of Debauchery and Mayhem, Friday June 12th.

The Greens, with guest guitarist, Larry Baeder, will play from 8pm. – 11 p.m. Bar-B- Q brisket, ribs and chicken, along with specially-priced Guinness and other Irish labels will begin at 6pm.

The Greens, Key West’s newest band, features Gary Mackey, former fiddle player with Dolly Parton’s Nashville Band, Rob, The Washboard Tie Guy, Cook, on percussion and Steve LaPierre, stand-up bass, offer up Celtic jigs, original songs and gentle jazz.

Come on down, do some good, feel good and enjoy the new sound of the freshest Greens in town.
