District II Commissioner Sam Kaufman has scheduled a community meeting for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1st at the Poinciana School cafeteria, 1407 Kennedy Drive.

One of the topics up for discussion is single member districting, an exploration of how the community feels about moving to a system in which city commissioners would be elected by the entire city electorate rather than by the residents within each district.

Also on the agenda: affordable housing, assisted living at Poinciana Gardens, Uber and improvements at Cozumel Park.

The meeting is open to everyone, and Kaufman is encouraging the community to come share concerns and ideas.
