Veterans Day Parade

In honor of the men and women of the armed forces who have served our nation, The U.S. Navy is sponsoring this year’s Veterans Day Parade.
The parade begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, November 11th on Duval Street at Catherine. The parade will proceed down Duval to Front Street. Bus service will only serve the Simonton side of Duval Street from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Last week the City Commission passed a proclamation in recognition of veterans “who have served this great nation with such distinction, both in peace time and in war.”
