Triple-Academy Award-Winning Film “The Rose Tattoo” Featured in Three Tennessee Williams Birthday Celebration Events

For three dates in March, the focus is on Tennessee Williams’ triple-academy award winning film, “The Rose Tattoo.” On March 16, at 10:00am and March 18 at 2:00pm, curator Dennis Beaver will lead tours focused on “The Key West Filming of ‘The Rose Tattoo’” at the Tennessee Williams Museum, 513 Truman Ave. The Museum tour provides participants with background details on the making of the film and prepares them to note interesting features of “The Rose Tattoo” film that will play at Tropic Cinema, 416 Eaton Street, Monday, March 19 at 6:00 p.m. Key West Art & Historical Society presents these events as part of the annual 2018 Tennessee Williams Birthday Celebration, a 6-week commemoration of the literary icon who lived on the island for thirty-four years.
