 Ready for some high octane new grass and blue grass this weekend? Or maybe some olde-time and new-time jazz with a little gypsy jazz, dueling guitars and country thrown in?

Nothing green behind the ears when it comes to Key West’s newest sound,  The Greens, with vocalist and musical virtuoso, Gary Mackey, former fiddle player with Dolly Parton’s Nashville band, along with Rob Cook, the popular Duval Street “washboard- tie guy” on percussion, Dillon Scott on banjo and guitar and stand-up bass player, Steve LaPierre.

“We wanted to bring a new thing to Key West, where jazz and old -time roots music would meet,” said LaPierre, co-founder and bass player with the popular Love Lane Gang.

So grab your entire household and your dancing shoes. Go enjoy some healthy musical fun all weekend long with The Greens: Friday April 24,  Key West Pub, 1114 Duval Street 4-7PM; Saturday, April 25, Backspace (formerly Finnegan’s Wake), 320 Grinnell St, 8-11 PM & Sunday April 26, 9PM-midnight, McConnell’s Irish Pub, 900 Duval Street, 9PM-midnight.
