MIAMI, FL – Fantasy Theatre Factory (FTF) will be providing a FREE public performance of its spooky, Halloween-themed program Little Monster Tales to residents of the Upper Florida Keys on November 4, 2017 at 11:00 am in an effort to give back to the community and to further assist with a return of the arts to the Keys in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

“There was so much disruption of arts and cultural activities following the storm,” says Larry Fields, Executive Artistic Director of FTF, he added “as a theatre company, we know how important the arts are to the quality of life in our community, so we wanted to do our part to help to return the arts to some of the people most affected by the storm and its after effects.”

The Florida Keys has shown an unwavering resiliency after the devastating disaster of Hurricane Irma, with its free family performance, FTF pays tribute to that spirit.  Assistant Branch Manager for Key Largo Library Claudia Moriarity noted, “We have had a wonderful working relationship with Fantasy Theatre Factory for over 15 years, and they have been instrumental in bringing theater to the children of our community.”

ABOUT LITTLE MONSTER TALES

Little Monster Tales is the “trick” to make reading a “treat!” Fantasy Theatre presents delightfully funny stories from children’s books about monsters, children and other squiggly creatures. We bring these stories to life on stage. The show combines reading, literature, comedy, puppets, music – even a dancing monster mash to finish the show! The show tickles your funny bone and sends everyone running to the library for more books by the same authors! Great FUN!

Fantasy Theatre Factory has been serving Florida since 1982 and in addition to being the managing operator of the brand-new Sandrell Rivers Theater, also performs in rural and inner-city schools, theatres, parks, hospitals, community centers and more across the entire state of Florida. Fantasy Theatre Factory presents more than 450 Florida programs reaching over 130,000 people each year. Fantasy Theatre Factory’s mission is to make more quality theatre programs available to more people of all cultures and backgrounds.  FTF also provides skilled circus performers for all types of events as well as theatre workshops for young audiences, both typical and individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Fantasy Theatre Factory is headed by Executive Artistic Director, Larry Fields, who has served with the company since 2006.

Fantasy Theatre Factory programs are award winning. FTF has won the Miami-Dade Arts Educator of the Year Award, and the 2013 Excellence in Direct Service to Children Award from the Miami-Dade Children’s Trust, among many others.
