Partisan Vigilantism Fuels Feeble Political Discourse–As Children Are Starved, Murdered & Join Terrorist Groups …

There’s always enough money to fight a war. Eradicating the slums of the world, while feeding children starving to death, has not been a priority nor adequately funded by the industrialized and technologically advanced nations of the world.

Individuals create and generate their own suffering and painful experiences. The immutable law of ’cause and effect’ can best be understood in the following manner: “for every action there is a reaction”. The force and power projected by negative thinking and violent actions are recycled; as matter and energy can never be destroyed. They simply change form. And in so doing, they continue to birth destructiveness throughout the world. The cyclic and cumulative damage of the wrongful conduct of all human beings is unfathomable.
Mastering and conquering the delusions, disturbances and evil that lurks within oneself are the antidotes to suffering. Equanimity is an internally developed attribute. Any individual thinking positive and peaceful thoughts, will project that concordant energy via their vibrations and conduct.
Schools are sorely lacking in delivering any type of instruction that reflects this ‘wisdom of the ages’. The negligence and failure of our alleged educators; those trusted with the fortunes of our children and the future of this nation, are legend.
Riding loosely in the saddle of life, while wearing the materially world as a loose garment, are priorities for those seeking ‘Self-Realization’. Love is the only instrument that will prevail against the world’s ignorance and contempt.
Lies and deceptions enjoy fertile ground in our body politic. Master puppeteers that they are, our government is skilled and proficient at orchestrating and directing its complying marinates in the ‘art of equivocation’. No matter how blaring the government’s  inconsistencies, willing accomplices in the media have peddled the administration’s narrative as fact. Detailed inquires examining the integrity and veracity of the last several regimes has been absent.
We’ve been disrespected and divided by a series of presidents who’ve fanned the partisan flames of discontent, while awkwardly proceeding with their inept and murderous debaucheries. They’ve been unable to coalesce heterogeneous populations for the sake of peacefully resolving differences. Rendering aid and support to uplift the downtrodden among us, has been absent from many of their policy decisions. The ‘world’s one human family’ continues to suffer in anguish and ‘lost hope’.
Government and political malfeasance have become acceptable standards of conduct. The City of Key West, through its inaction, has endorsed and turned  a blind eye to many documented instances of alleged abuse that were recorded and viewed via video.  These videotapes appear to detail some of its employees engaged in alleged criminal behavior. These recordings suggest that their actions might have been harmful and injurious,  and in one instance, may have  been responsible for killing an innocent American citizen. Desensitized and dumb downed to this type of misconduct, life for many Key West residents seems to just roll on.
The rhetoric of ‘change’ proffered by the federal government is alarmingly shallow. They’ve chosen to pit Americans against one another, diverting attention away from their policy  failures and ineffectiveness.
Children are dying from hunger and disease. Americans and innocent civilians from around the world are being liquidated via undeclared wars; while our political elites pose for photo ops, while grasping for donations and speaking fees.
Blood money and ‘quid pro quo’ relationships with tyrants and the military industrial complex, have secured wealth and power for many politicians in and out of  government.
A CNN Business report  determined that during the last decade (2001-2011) the income of middle class Americans fell by 7%. In addition, since 2009 the median income in the United States fell almost 4%.  During this time the poorest quintile saw its income decline even more, by nearly 6%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
This is not the type of “Change” we were promised.
I want our president, country and people to thrive and flourish.  I long for a gentler and friendlier world, where peace and prosperity are obtainable realities.
It may take a village to raise a child. However, some things are certain. It takes a wealth of contrasting ideas and insights, along with a plethora of divergent perspectives and experience, to successfully build alliances and detente with one’s enemies.
Wisdom and character building, along with benevolently embracing ideological differences, are the marks of an authentic leader. These traits and attitudes are not acquired from a fancy graduate school or university.
Rigidity, close mindedness, an over inflated ego and  sensitivity to criticism are attributes of an insecure, troubled and emotionally unstable individual. If my answers to your question are indirect, riddled with double-talk and gobbledygook, I should not be trusted.
Values, ethics and analytical reasoning have a place in our school system and government. An undereducated electorate will guarantee a decline in our nation and quality of life, as the incompetent and unqualified politicians elected to office, will be unable to provide us with the direction, answers and solutions required of a 21st century ‘Leader’.
French political philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville (1805-1859) said “In democracy we get the government we deserve” .
Perhaps that is so. I am not convinced.
Although disappointed and dissatisfied with the way of the world, just for today, I shall ask for the strength and courage  to work on myself, in the hope that I may press on towards a better tomorrow.

  1. John, Wow … you and Alex seem to have gone into the same groove today and I appreciate such honesty and concern. It gives me some hope to listen to someone like you, regardless of the specifics, someone who has a true sensibility for the world we really live in, and not the one peddled so shamelessly to the molten mass by the mistaken values of what I call the “Military-Industrial-Media Complex”. Thanks again John, I always await whatever it is you have to say, ciao, PCM

  2. Jerome,

The intrinsic transcendence demonstrated through your articles ideas, comments and perspectives are sincerely appreciated. I see a shared kinship between myself and many of the contributors and commentators to The Blue Paper.

If I don’t allow myself to get stuck too badly on a particular point of view. And keep an open-mind and heart towards the words and thoughts of others, it usually triggers growth and expanded awareness within my consciousness.

    I’ll miss your articles.

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face,

May the rain fall soft upon your fields
    And, until we meet again,
May your God hold you in the palm of his hand….

    1. John, “Point of view”. You make me wonder about my point of view. It generally falls into an area we might refer to as the “Left” … or something like that. But you are right, trying to define oneself in such a way can be seen as a trick. In truth, my only point of view has to do with what I consider the best path for our species to follow so as to best fulfill each INDIVIDUAL. It is not a bleeding heart attitude, it is one premised upon what is best for me, which just happens to coincide with what is best for all of us. That is a basic rule of well being our society is drifting further and further away from. ciao, PCM

  3. Your fearless exploration of the internal and external is admirable. Would that we all could so reflect, our worlds would be so much the better. The complacent must be discomfited if change for the better is to ever take place…

Keep up the great work, John.
