Ms. Sawyer currently serves as the Senior Office Manager for the Maintenance Department working out of the Key West Maintenance office. She is a graduate of Key West High School and has worked with the District since 1990 .

Janene’s office is enhanced by her dedication and keen attention to detail. Ms. Sawyer’s extensive knowledge in the department’s budgeting, personnel, and work order programs facilitates daily operations in a fast-paced work environment. She is highly adept in using office automation to conduct the business of the maintenance department. During this past year, Janene was a key contributor in a process improvement effort aimed at increasing the department’s efficiency through technology.

Her input was invaluable in the selection and implementation of a new work request and tracking program. She additionally took a lead role in resourcing the remote devices utilized by Maintenanc Mechanics and Technicians to interface with this new program.

Janene’s most identifiable characteristic is dependability. Director of Maintenance, Jeff Barrow, said “Whe ther it’s e rly in the morning, late in the day, or even after hours, I know I can reach Janene and she will h ave answers for me. She is a dedicated team player that I can rely on.” This reliability is crucial in her position as she is one of the first individuals contacted in the event of a facility crisis. Her experience developed over the years has given her the necessary knowledge to get imoportant tasks and projects completed efficiently. When speaking of Janene, District Maintenance Manager, Dan Martin states, “The true me sure of the value of any Office Manager is performance. Janene exemplifies performance on a daily basis.”
