Library Friends Lecture at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

Historian and novelist Les Standiford is next speaker in this season’s Friends of the Key West Library lecture series—Monday, March 16, 6:00 p.m., at the series’ temporary location, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 401 Duval St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Standiford will discuss his latest work, “Desperate Sons” (2012), a nonfiction thriller that explores the pre-Revolutionary activities of the Sons of Liberty, including John Hancock, Samuel Adams and Patrick Henry. His numerous other works include the eight-book John Deal mystery series as well as “Bringing Adam Home” (2010), a true kidnapping story that made the New York Times best seller list. Standiford is currently Professor of English and Director of the Creative Writing Program at Florida International University.

The Friends of the Key West Library weekly lecture series is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.
