West Texas singer-songwriter Cliff Cody plays the Hog’s Breath Saloon, 400 Front St., mid-shift gig – 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. July 31 – Aug 6.

“Chasin Whiskey,” Cody’s first recorded cut was recognized as a highlight of Julie Roberts’ album “Men and Mascara” by Rolling Stone Magazine. Since first playing the Key West Songwriters Festival, Cody has become a favorite and regular performer in the Keys. His soulful voice and story telling style of writing has helped him build a loyal following. He makes fast friends and forever fans and once you hear him, you’ll become both.

Nashville’s own indie soul artist, Heidi Burson, has put out a brand new killer album called The Story with all the good vibes and grooves, and will be at the Hog’s Breath Saloon, with her band  July 31 – Aug. 6, 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.

Burson’s unprecedented vocal range is reminiscent of Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Adele with songwriting skills comparable to the great Carole King.  Patrons of every age find themselves out of their seats dancing the evening away while enjoying original music written by Heidi seamlessly weaved in with popular cover songs throughout the evening sets.
