Green Lodging Certification Workshop

The City of Key West supports businesses that want to conserve resources and save money, and is hosting a meeting for hotels, motels, inns, guest houses, resorts and B&B’s that are interested in getting certified or recertified with Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Green Lodging Program.

Where: Old City Hall at 510 Greene Street
When: 9am – 11am: Green Lodging 101: For lodgings new to FDEP’s Green Lodging Program, this presentation gives an overview of the entire application and process.
11am – 1pm: Best Management Practices: Tailored more for the lodging that has already made many green upgrades, but would like a refresher course, this presentation highlights housekeeping and engineering.
Lodgings may attend both workshops. No rsvp are necessary to attend the workshops. City Recycling and Sustainability staff will be on hand to answer any local questions you may have.
