KWAHS_Papio Art Bike Last Call_Virginia Wark_4932B

Virginia Wark glues cd’s to “Whirly-Giggles,” her art-bike entry for this Saturday’s Key West Art & Historical Society Papio Kinetic Sculpture Parade. “It was a last minute inspiration,” said Wark, whose seemingly endless well of inventiveness has enlivened many a Key West happening. “A friend gave me the cd’s and I thought, ‘what have I got and what can I do with it…’ I love that in Key West the kind of thinking that turns trash into art is celebrated and encouraged.”

Registration to participate in the cavalcade of totally human-powered works of art is still open to art-bike entrants—visit for more information.
