Key West Zonta Club Again Presents “Journey To Success” Workshop Provides Business Skills to Help Women Begin and Advance In Careers
The Zonta Club of Key West again presents “Journey to Success” a workshop designed for women and high school students searching for employment or currently working in Key West and the Lower Keys who are ready to enhance their career skills. It will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, at the Gato Building, 1100 Simonton Street in Key West.
The workshop will include a day of hands on training and practical tips for improving skills in resume-writing, job application completion and interviewing, communication and on the job etiquette as well as tips on dressing for success. The free workshop includes lunch, childcare, transportation to and from the Poinciana Housing community and lots of door prizes including a Galaxy tablet. Childcare is on a first come first served basis and pre-registration is mandatory.
This Zonta initiative is being held in conjunction with Isle Style, other business women in the community and Zonta members and is funded by a grant from the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys. The granted funds will provide childcare services, transportation and lunch.
“In this ever-changing economy, having solid, fundamental job skills will help women with career advancement throughout their lifetimes,” said Zonta President, Lisa Benfield who is the founder of the project. “Young women today will have a number of job and even career changes throughout their working lives, so mastering and refreshing these fundamentals is a key to success on that journey.”

Childcare registration is mandatory by February 17th and will be provided for children from 2 to 5 years of age to the first 20 children.
