Fire Rescue Collecting Items for Hurricane Michael Victims

Monroe County Fire Rescue will be collecting essential items for Hurricane Michael victims, including impacted firefighters and their families this week.

Donation items we are looking for: non-perishable food items, pet food, water, bleach, sugar, toiletries, hand/power tools, gas cans, extension cords, generators and batteries.

The drop-off locations are:

Big Pine Fire Station, 390 Key Deer Blvd.,

Monroe County Fire Rescue headquarters, 490 E. 63rd St. Ocean in Marathon

Tavernier Fire Station, 151 Marine Avenue.

The trucks will leave Friday, Oct. 19 for Bay County – the hardest hit County in Florida that includes Mexico Beach and Panama City.
