This just in from Chief Donie Lee:

“Key West Police detectives are investigating the death of a male and female found dead in their apartment on the 900 block of White St.  KWPD officers were dispatched to 921 White St. at approx. 9: 16 a.m., after receiving a call from the landlord who discovered the male deceased.  Officers entered the apartment and found the deceased male in a room and then entered a separate room and located a deceased female.  Detectives are withholding the names of the deceased until next of kin notifications are made. The death investigation is ongoing and detectives are awaiting the arrival of the Monroe County Medical Examiner.”

UPDATE 6:46 PM

“The two individuals that were found dead today have been identified as Sandra Lee Witkowski 10-20-62 and Richard Lee Hadlock 12-11-66. Foul play is not suspected at this point in the investigation. Mr. Hadlock was suffering from several medical conditions. Toxicology and cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner.”
