Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary Honors Longtime Advisory Council Members
Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary honored two longtime members of its Advisory Council at its December meeting. Martin “Skip” Moe, of Islamorada, and David Hawtof, of Key West, served for more than a decade offering advice and recommendations on managing the sanctuary. Superintendent Sarah Fangman and Sanctuary Advisory Council chairman Bruce Popham recognized them with a plaque and a standing ovation. Serving in a voluntary capacity, council members represent a variety of local user groups, as well as the general public. Moe represented education and outreach, while Hawtof held a citizen-at-large seat.
