On Saturday, October 22nd, 9:30am to 12:30pm, help make Indigenous Park more inviting to migrating birds and other creatures. Volunteers will be trained to identify and remove invasive exotic plants that do not nurture wild fauna. Arrive on time at the Wild Bird Center (1801 White Street) for light refreshments and instruction; dress to get down and dirty – closed shoes, long-sleeved pants and shirts. Gloves, bug spray, sunscreen and cheap sunglasses are optional. Participants will be rewarded with lunch – and the satisfaction of protecting a rare habitat.

This “Service Saturday” is a project of the Key West Botanical Garden Society in coordination with the Key West Wildlife Center and the Florida Keys Community College. Visit kwbgs.org.
