June 4, 2016 was a Great Day to see the Garden! EXAMPLE:

Renowned Southwest Florida Art Photographer Clyde Butcher and his wife Niki stopped by the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden for a visit and photo op with Executive Director Misha McRAE. Very interested in the specimen Lignum Vitae tree the Garden has on display, they were quickly immersed in the Historical Garden’s photo op charms the Tropical Forest shares including Champion, historical and native trees. Being the expert in black & white photos, Misha was inclined to note the butterflies were just for color; they were everywhere.

Clyde proved to be very personable and open to share his camera skills, professional tricks and photo experience with Misha. He photographs the landscape; Niki’s talent is the blossoms: the total team couple.

Clyde Butcher’s Lecture and book signing started at the Keys of History and Discover Center in Islamorada June 2nd featuring his work “National Parks” that will be on display June through August 2016. A trip down the keys resulted in their stop into the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden.

To have his impromptu visit to the Garden was a surprise and complete honor. Thank you both.
