Workshop Provides Business Skills To Help Women Advance In Careers
The Zonta Club of Key West presents “Journey To Success” a new workshop designed for women and high school students searching for employment or currently working in Key West and the Lower Keys who are ready to enhance their career skills. It will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, at the Gato Building, 1100 Simonton Street in Key West.
This brand new initiative for Zonta Club of Key West being held in conjunction with Isle Style, other business women in the community and Zonta members will include a day of hands on training and practical tips for improving skills in resume-writing, job application and interviewing, communication and on the job etiquette. The fee for attendance is only $10 and includes lunch, as well as, a dress for success fashion show. There will be door prizes and business clothing available to take home.
“In this ever-changing economy, having solid, fundamental job skills will help women with career advancement throughout their lifetimes,” said Zonta President, Lisa Benfield who is the founder of the project. “Young women today will have a number of job and even career changes throughout their working lives, so mastering and refreshing these fundamentals is a key to success on that journey.”
Pre-registration is required to attend by calling Lisa Benfield at 228-596-6647. The workshop is limited to 40 participants, so early registration is highly recommended.
