Southernmost Magnolia End of Season Bash!
Southernmost Magnolia will be playing their last two shows for this season during the month of May. They’re going to go out with a bang. Redhead Express will join them at their regular gig Thursday May 5 at B.O.’s Fish Wagon 6 – 9 PM. This will be a meeting of the minds for like-minded roots music lovers, bridging a generation gap to include fans of all ages. And also, this will be partly a video shoot for the family band currently wowing everyone. Come and be part of the crowd. You’ll want to say you were there!
Then Friday May 6 Southernmost Magnolia will play their last gig of the season at Saluté! On The Beach from 5 – 8 PM. This upscale yet down-home bistro is a perfect place to start your evening, with delicious food and delectable drinks, in a delightful location. Add the mirthful music of Magnolia, and a good time is virtually guaranteed!
Southernmost Magnolia is one of the local music scene’s best-kept secrets, having played here for eleven seasons. The Key West version of the renowned New England band Magnolia, they play a unique blend of Cajun, country, and bluegrass music. Led by singer and guitarist Maggie Moniz, with local musicians Steve Gibson on mandolin and Cindy Jefferson on bass, and world-famous Chuck Sherman on pedal steel, they play good time music sure to get your head boppin’, your toes tappin’, and your feet movin’. They will be making sure everyone can let the good times roll at every show.
