Sister Season is a nonprofit organization, helping locals in the hospitality industry when an unexpected illness or accident occurs by paying for rent and utilities so that they can remain here in Key West and get back to work.
Board President Julie Hanson said “We started the Annual Southernmost Fashion show in 2012. This event has been held every year at the Southernmost Mansion thanks to Michael Halpern. We contact as many local clothing stores as possible to showcase their lines of clothes and most of them have continued with us year after year. We generally have at least 10 stores and about 20 models who live here in Key West, but one model even flies in from Europe (she loves the show). Last year we gave our models a challenge to help raise money for SSF by selling tickets, ads for the program, or through donations. Whoever raises the most support will win the Sash & Crown for the Southernmost Top Model!
This year we will have entertainment by Mulysa Gard and Deja from the 801 Cabaret.”
