SAVE THE DATE: Key West Art & Historical Society Hosts Membership Drive and Celebration, March 8th
Sunday, March 8 marks the annual Key West Art & Historical Society’s membership drive & member celebration from 5:30- 7:30 pm. at the Lighthouse and Keeper’s Quarters—one of three historic sites The Society is steward to.
The “Howl at the Moon & Stars” party at the Lighthouse shines light on its current and incoming members with jam-infused Southern Rock by Knoxville’s Homemade Wine Band, a photo booth and membership “star chart,” tickets to raffle packages, discounted membership fees and great food and drinks.
Attendees will also be given entrance to climb the 88 steps up the 167-year-old Lighthouse Tower for a stunning view of the island. The iconic landmark and its Keeper’s Quarters now serve as museums dedicated to the lives of the Keepers who played a significant role in Key West’s maritime history.
One of the oldest cultural organizations in the Florida Keys, The Art & Historical Society preserves the island’s historic structures and collection of artifacts and art that reflect the history of Key West while promoting quality cultural heritage programming that is educational, informative and fun.
Members enjoy discounts on exhibits, films, lectures, trips, festivals & gift store purchases; invites to special programs and early VIP admission to events and exhibit openings. Membership donations directly support the organization’s programming initiatives, which provide education, entertainment and enjoyment to the community and visitors alike.
