Program Focuses On Keys Women In Transition
Lower Keys Professionals Roxanne Fleszar and Dolly Garlo Present Their “Women Money and Power” Workshop For Women Ready To Strengthen Their Financial Mastery And Personal Satisfaction In A New Phase Of Life.
Registration has opened for the program entitled “Women Money and Power: Design & Finance A Life You Love” to be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 1 to 5 o’clock p.m., at the beautiful Key West Tropical Forest and Botanical Garden in the Nature Chapel. Fleszar and Garlo lend their more than six combined decades of professional service, and their own personal experience, to assist women in mid-life and beyond who are ready to design – and comfortably finance – their own reinvention.
The small group format is limited to 50 participants. More than simply great content, the workshop will include experiential exercises, instructive tools, facilitated dialogue, individual coaching and inspired action to help participants not only design what’s next, but take their first steps toward actually putting it in place.
“Women reach a point in life where it is time to stop focusing on everyone and everything else, and use their considerable talents, experience and interests to design life, business and work – if they choose to pursue it – more on their own terms,” says Garlo. “Properly managing their money, understanding and maximizing their investments, as well as making sure they are working with reputable and trustworthy advisors, is a crucial factor in pulling it altogether,” adds Fleszar.
Women have more earning power than ever, represent more than 45% of American millionaires, and estimates are that the number of wealthy women in the U.S. is growing twice as fast as the number of wealthy men. Additionally, studies indicate that 48% of estates worth more than $5 are controlled by women (compared with 35% controlled by men). Economists predict that by 2030, women will control as much as two-thirds of the nation’s wealth. Yet even among financially accomplished women, fears of losing or running out of money, and becoming a “bag lady” persist.
Largely, this is because most people spend more time planning a vacation than on designing their lives, and women in particular don’t have the same level of experience with financial, estate and philanthropic planning that their forefathers do. So the workshop will focus on creating a “Full Life MAP” (mindful action plan), as well as, the ‘self-worth of net-worth’ needed to pull it altogether.
