Key West Mystery Writer Michael Haskins
Michael Haskins, author of nine books in his Mick Murphy Key West Mystery series will be the featured speaker on Jan. 19. The location of the talk is St. Columba Episcopal Church, 451 52nd Street, Gulf side. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
Haskins’ writing career began with journalism and in 2008 his first book was published. At the time he worked as the public information officer for the City of Key West. He spent five years at a stringer for Reuters News Service in Miami. He now writes fulltime. He has lived in the Keys for 20 years. Originally from Boston, Haskins has lived in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, Tijuana, Mexico, before moving to Key West.
The Friends of the Marathon Library Speaker Series is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
