“Let’s Tea Party” at The Green Pineapple Wellness Center Splashes on Saturday April 29th with A Mermaid Flair
If learning about the island’s holistic and creative business community amid enchanting merfolk lore and delicious complimentary organic teas and lattes sounds like an afternoon made for you, The Green Pineapple Wellness Center’s this month’s “Let’s Tea Party” on 1130 Duval Street has the perfect offering. The free monthly event continues on Saturday, April 29th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, featuring Southernmost Mermaids Allison Delashmit and Kimberly Wallen of Southernmost Mermaid School and Kdub Designz.
Wallen and Delashmit will offer a mystical afternoon mixed with mermaid folklore, information on the creative process of their businesses, and the magic of Mermaid oracle cards for interested guests. Shopping offers include Wallen and Delashmit’s Southernmost Mermaid tank tops and other KDub designs; guest also receive The Green Pineapple’s complimentary organic tea and special discounts on retail and services.
The Southernmost Mermaid School is the premier mermaid swimming instruction program in the Florida Keys, teaching lessons on “mermaiding” at private pools and local hotels and resorts, offering chartered eco-tours in the Backcountry, creating whimsical birthday parties for all ages of mermaid enthusiasts, and making personal appearances at local soirees. Artisan Wallen uses the riches and inspiration of the waters of the Keys, designing and creating one-of-a-kind, Keys-inspired prints and is widely known for her Gyotaku creations, a traditional form of Japanese fish printing transferred to various textiles.
The Green Pineapple Wellness Center, established by owner Debi Lippi in 2011, hosts a boutique, organic café, life coaching office, the Key West Yoga Sanctuary yoga studio, and the Anahara Spa, to help support the art of living well, inside and out. Lippi’s staff and the Center’s fellow business owners work to create opportunities for locals and visitors to nourish their bodies, minds, and souls with the products, services, workshops, and creative events they offer; ‘Let’s Tea Party’ serves as a friendly stage for local healthy lifestyle entrepreneurs, creatives, business owners, artists, and teachers to share their work and message.
Attendees will also receive a 20% discount on the boutique’s retail products and Anahara Spa services and products. 10% of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the “Embody Love” Program for teen girls, which offers free workshops to help them change the way they feel, think, and speak to themselves and others about their body image and beauty.
