“LAYERS” Pre-Valentine’s Day Artist Meet & Greet at KEPart Studio-Gallery February 13
Kevin Peterson, proprietor of KEPart Studio-Gallery, welcomes the public to a pre-Valentine’s Day artist meet & greet with visual artist Deborah Goldman and photographer Carol Tedesco, Saturday morning, February 13, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The artists, whose show is titled “LAYERS,” will discuss some of the ins and outs of creating their “LAYERS” works, whose common thread is that every piece has been created using images collaged and stacked to suggest stories and evoke feelings – Tedesco with photographs and Goldman with painted wooden constructions.
Goldman is an acclaimed visual artist and 2011 awardee of the prestigious South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship whose work has appeared in major exhibitions across the U.S. and is currently exhibited at the Hal Bromm Gallery in New York City. Her work showcased in “Layers” will feature a selection of her popular and widely collected cutout and layered wooden constructions.
Tedesco is award-winning photographer whose work in fine art, news and documentary photography appears worldwide. Selections for the KEPart show are new works that blend multiple layers of images, including dancing figures, fire, water, sand, and in celebration of February and Cupid’s ode to love, portions of historic love letters.
“LAYERS” runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at KEPart Studio-Gallery, 534 Fleming Street, through February 29th.
