Key West Theater Announces Winter Concert Series: Indigo Girls, Deana Carter, JOHNNYSWIM and Robert Randolph and the Family Band
Rams Head Group, a Maryland based restaurant and entertainment company, announces a partnership with Key West Theater for a Winter Concert Series. The series features Grammy Nominated and Awarded artists Deana Carter, Edwin McCain, Indigo Girls, JOHNNYSWIM and Robert Randolph and the Family Band.
“The Key West Theater is excited to be partnering with the Rams Head Group in bringing national acts to our venue. We believe this will be hugely beneficial to the Key West community and our visitors in providing an experience that otherwise would be very rare. It’s a perfect fit and we are excited they are on board for our inaugural season!” said Marketing & Development Director Kelly Norman.
Additionally, Rams Head is tapping into the local Key West line-up of artists, adding local favorite Shastina Chiles to open for Deana Carter and Nick Norman to open for Edwin McCain.
“Over the last few years, Rams Head has been focused on expanding to the Key West market – we are excited to have found a home to bring incredible live music performances to the area.” said Rams Head Group President, Erin McNaboe. “Why Key West? Despite Annapolis and Key West being 1200+ miles apart, the two have tremendous similarities – the love of all things water related, history with the Navy, general merriment, citizen’s uprisings of independence with both the Conch Republic and the Maritime Republic, Fantasy Fest and Fringe Fest; but, most importantly the appreciation of music.”
With intimate seating for 250, the Key West Theater welcomes fans into the air-conditioning for a cocktailed evening of live music. The winter concert series is on sale now.

A rootsy singer-songwriter with ties to jazz and soul, Edwin McCain hails from Charleston, South Carolina, and it was with the support of native sons Hootie & the Blowfish that McCain signed with Atlantic Records. In 1997 McCain released ‘Misguided Roses’, which scored a mainstream hit in the song “I’ll Be.”
The Indigo Girls (Emily Saliers and Amy Ray) have spent thirty-five years performing together, produced fifteen albums, earned a Grammy award and seven Grammy nominations, and have toured arenas, festivals, and clubs the world over. The duo broke into the national spotlight in the early 90s with hits such as “Closer to Fine,” and “Galileo”. With their sixteenth studio album, One Lost Day (June 2015) Indigo Girls remain active and relevant, always viewing their music as a fresh opportunity for exploration and discovery.
JOHNNYSWIM is a Los Angeles based duo composed of Amanda Sudano and Abner Ramirez. The two began writing and singing together in the spring of 2006 and found that their similar influences of folk, soul, and rock blended together lusciously. Nashville newspaper “The Tennessean” describes JOHNNYSWIM as “a mix of Lauryn Hill and John Mayer.”
Robert Randolph & The Family Band is a blues funk band led by pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph. The group’s sound is inspired by successful 1970s funk bands such as Earth, Wind & Fire and Sly & the Family Stone, and Randolph names Stevie Ray Vaughan as his main influence. Rolling Stone magazine lists Robert Randolph as one of the 100 greatest guitar players of all time.
