Key West Art & Historical Society Curator Presents History of Custom House
In the climate-controlled fourth floor collection room of the Custom House Museum, Key West Art & Historical Society curator Cori Convertito, Ph.D, holds an acid-free storage box containing a rare set of boxing gloves owned and worn by the late author and Key West resident Ernest Hemingway. On Wednesday, November 16 from 6-7pm, Convertito, who is curator for all three historic landmarks stewarded by KWAHS, welcomes the public to the Helmerich Research & Learning Center on the third floor of the Custom House Museum, 281 Front Street, where she will discuss the history and significance of the Custom House, now celebrating its 125th anniversary.
