Biscuit Miller and The Mix play the Hog’s Breath Saloon, 400 Front St., Oct. 24 – 30, taking over the late-night gig, 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Miller got hooked up with Sonny Rogers and recorded “They Call Me Cat Daddy,” which wound up winning a Sonny Handy Award for best new artist! After that, he played with Mojo Buford (Muddy Waters), and Lady Blue (Ike and Tina Turner).
Miller was also with Lonnie Brooks for 10 years and those years were invaluable to him as a musician. He says he learned so much about the music business and being on the road with Brooks.
“We played some incredible gigs such as President Clinton’s inauguration and I met and performed with many of my own idols while traveling with Lonnie and the band,” Miller said.
