Cell Phone Recycling Initiative

Reef Relief is partnered with SecondWave Recycling for an initiative to recycle old cell phones donated by the public. The cell phone donations will raise funds for Reef Relief’s programs. Old phones can be dropped off at the Reef Relief Environmental Center located at 631 Greene Street Key West, FL 33040 or sent in using the free shipping label that can be found on www.secondwaverecycling.com.

Only 14% of cell phones are recycled resulting in hundreds of millions of used phones being sent to landfills each year which has an extremely harmful impact on our environment. Reef Relief and SecondWave Recycling are pleased to help people recycle their phones and make a difference in the Florida Keys, home to the only living barrier reef in North America.

Reef Relief is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to improving and protecting our coral reef ecosystems. For more information call 305-294-3100.
