Cartoonist Kevin Kallaugher Presents Free Talk, March 1
In 1999, The World Encyclopedia of Cartoons said, “Commanding a masterful style, (Kevin) Kallaugher stands among the premier caricaturists of the (twentieth) century.” On Sunday, March 1 at 6pm, Kallaugher presents a free talk about his life and work at the Historic Armory, 600 White Street. Doors open at 5:30pm, seating is limited.
Kallaugher, editorial cartoonist for The Economist and The Baltimore Sun, has created work for more than 100 publications worldwide, including Le Monde, The New York Times, and Newsweek. His portfolio includes 4000+ published cartoons, 5 retrospective collections, 140 magazine covers – even his own board game. Additionally, he’s served as a Pulitzer Prize jury member, exhibited at the Tate Gallery and lectured at Harvard, Pixar, and Google.
Kallaugherr has also had exhibitions in London, South Korea, Jordan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Romania New York, San Francisco, Washington, Jackson Hole, WY, Durham NC, and Baltimore.
A ticketed Meet and Greet with drinks and hors d’oeuvres follows the presentation at a private home. Reception tickets are $40 and include guaranteed reserved seating at the presentation. VIP tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at tskw.org, 305-296-0458.
