Volunteers Needed to Cleanup Little Hamaca Park of Key West
Saturday, September 19, 2015 9:00am – 1:00pm
Reef Relief is hosting a cleanup on Saturday, September 19th in honor of International Coastal Cleanup Day. Volunteers will meet the Reef Relief staff at 9:00am at the entrance to Little Hamaca Park on Government Road, Key West. Look for the Reef Relief sign. Volunteer check-in will start at 9:00am and the cleanup will finish at 1:00pm. Please RSVP to Reef Relief by email at [email protected].
Little Hamaca Park is home to endangered species and the salt ponds, which act as a nursery to young wildlife. Trash that is not properly disposed of can quickly make its way to the ocean. Litter is not just ugly; it is dangerous to wildlife who often mistake it for food, causing starvation and death. Help make the island of Key West a true paradise and do your part.
