Fantasy Fest Parade Design Workshop Scheduled
Get expert advice on how to do your creepy, creative best!
Wondering how groups come up with such fabulous ideas and make them a rolling, marching, floating reality every year at the 3Wishes.com Fantasy Fest Parade? Find out all the winning secrets at the Fantasy Fest 2015 Parade Design Workshop, Thursday, August 20 at 5:30 pm in the Grand Cayman Room at the Pier House at 1 Duval Street in Key West.
The free workshop is a chance for prospective parade participants – new and experienced – to get behind-the-scenes advice on how to pull together and team and create freakishly fantastic parade entries that are safe, light-years from ordinary, and potentially prize winning.
Presenters will include legendary local float designer Rick Worth, multi-award winner Sue D’Antonio, who makes masterful small-scale floats, and Jeff Martin, whose 2013 Transformers-themed float was a real showstopper.
There could be little green men or a headless horsemen and dancing skeletons. The 2015 Fantasy Fest theme: All Hallows Intergalactic Freak Show and a Halloween night parade are sure to make this year’s 3Wishes.com Fantasy Fest parade one for the record books.
Parade entry applications can be found on fantasyfest.com and the application deadline is 5pm, Friday, September 25 at the Fantasy Fest office at 1111 12th St., Suite 211, Key West, FL 33040.
