The Greens – Mother’s Day Special
The Greens
Mother Day’s @ McConnell’s Irish Pub
New Grass & Blue Grass
Ready for some high octane new grass and blue grass this Mother’s Day? Maybe some olde-time and new-time jazz with a little gypsy jazz, dueling guitars and country thrown in?
Nothing green behind the ears when it comes to Key West’s newest sound, The Greens, with vocalist and musical virtuoso, Gary Mackey, former fiddle player with Dolly Parton’s Nashville band, along with Rob Cook, the popular Duval Street “washboard- tie guy” on percussion, Dillon Scott on banjo and guitar and stand-up bass player, Steve LaPierre.
.
“We wanted to bring a new thing to Key West, where jazz and old -time roots music would meet,” said LaPierre, co-founder of both the Greens and the popular Love Lane Gang.
So grab your Mom and your dancing shoes. Enjoy some healthy musical fun this Sunday, May 10, McConnell’s Irish Pub, 900 Duval Street, 9PM-midnight.
