New Key West Band Swings!

 

Django Reinhardt’s & Stephane Grappelli’s Minor Swing, Celtic jigs and Stephen LaPierre’s Tropical Swing are just a few of The Greens’ musical pieces spicing up the town this week.

The Greens are Key West’s newest sound with vocalist and musical virtuoso, Gary Mackey, former fiddle player with Dolly Parton’s Nashville band, Rob Cook, the popular Duval Street “washboard- tie guy” on percussion, Dillon Scott, rolling on vocals, banjo and guitar and stand-up bass player, Steve LaPierre are playing non-stop around town this weekend.

“We wanted to bring a new thing to Key West, where jazz and old -time roots music would meet,” said LaPierre, co-founder of both the Greens and the ever-popular Love Lane Gang.
