American Legion Post 145 in Islamorada will be recognizing a sworn officer monthly from both Key Largo and Islamorada. This month, Sheriff’s Office Sergeants Gregg Johnson and Tom Kiffney were recognized “for their commitment to the citizens of Monroe County.”

Johnson has worked for the Sheriff’s Office since 2003 and was promoted to sergeant in 2010; Kiffney has been with the Sheriff’s Office in 1992 and was promoted in 1996. First Vice Commander Angela Glover ( also pictured) presented them with certificates, “Thank you” challenge coins and gift cards.
