The City of Key West Planning and Zoning Department will host a 2-day public workshop on September 2nd and 3rd at the Eco-Discovery Center in Truman Waterfront Park focusing on updates to the City’s Land Development Regulations. The updates are required by state law in order to be consistent with the most recent update to the City’s Comprehensive Plan, which occurred in 2013.

Wednesday’s workshop will focus on landscape, signage, and urban design, while Thursday’s workshop will address green building, adaptation planning and disaster planning.

The cornerstone of the work of updating the LDRs will be the contribution of the general public to the drafting process. The City encourages all stakeholders and interested persons to participate in this LDR update.
